Italian media: Milan municipal government hopes to persuade Inter Milan to stay at least

Live broadcast on August 12th according to Italy’s Republic, the Milan municipal government hopes to persuade at least one of Milan’s DOUBLE HEROES to stay in Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

This week, Milan’s cultural heritage committee passed a resolution against the demolition of Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, which may lead Milan and Inter Milan to move to other areas to build new stadiums. Milan considered to build a new stadium in San Donato, while Inter Milan considered to build a new stadium in asago, which would have a negative impact on Milan’s local economy and sports.

The Republic said that the Milan municipal government tried to persuade at least one club to stay. Among them, it is very difficult to persuade Milan club, so the municipal government is mainly trying to persuade Inter Milan club at present. Milan municipal government is willing to consider renovating Stadio Giuseppe Meazza or building a new stadium in the same area.

Anna scarvuzo, deputy mayor of Milan, said: “We will evaluate what to do next, because we must also understand the cost of action. Two clubs are involved, so there are more problems to be evaluated. I hope to see a new stadium in the San Siro area instead of keeping the old one. Now this decision to oppose the demolition of Stadio Giuseppe Meazza is wrong.”
