Post: Manchester United is consulting the opinions of all parties for Greenwood
Live broadcast on August 12th according to the post, after delaying the announcement of whether Greenwood will return to the team, Manchester United tried to pave the way for Greenwood’s return by consulting the opinions of female players, sponsors and fan groups.
Greenwood has been banned by the club for the past 18 months due to attempted rape and violent charges. At the beginning of February this year, the Royal prosecutor’s office withdrew the charges. Manchester United then launched an internal investigation and spared no effort to explain the decision to the women’s team players, sponsors and fan groups. This shows that Manchester United is paving the way for Greenwood’s return rather than terminating his contract.
Manchester United coach Teng Hach and most of the players are willing to accept Greenwood’s return. But if the feedback from women’s players, sponsors and fan groups is mostly negative, or Manchester United faces strong opposition from the public, then Manchester United may not let Greenwood return to the team.
